CONGRESS ACTIVITIES

Types of Activities – International Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapies Congress 2026

Psychotherapies Congress are listed below.

All activities will be certified as “Accredited Trainings” within the certification process of the Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapies Association.

Abstracts accepted within the scope of this congress will be published in a supplementary issue of the Journal of Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy and Research, an internationally indexed journal.

Pre-congress workshops will be held on April 30, 2026, starting at 09:00 a.m. and continuing throughout the day.

These workshops are courses organized by national and international trainers selected by the Congress Organizing Committee, focusing on specialized and original topic areas.

In addition to providing theoretical knowledge, these workshops also emphasize the development of practical and clinical skills.

In-congress workshops will be held as half-day sessions between May 1–3, running in parallel across different conference rooms as part of the scientific program.

These workshops are courses organized by national or international trainers who are either appointed by the Congress Organizing Committee or proposed by participants and subsequently approved by the Committee.

In addition to providing theoretical knowledge, these workshops include practical skill components, presented in a more concise format compared to full-day workshops.

Keynote lectures are conference presentations delivered by leading authorities in the field, with a relatively extended duration of 30–60 minutes.

The content of the keynote lectures is determined by the Congress Organizing Committee.

Round table discussions are sessions in which recent developments, controversial issues, and specialized topics in the field of cognitive behavioral therapy are discussed by recognized experts, under the guidance of a moderator.

The content of these sessions is determined either directly by the Congress Organizing Committee or selected from proposals submitted by participants.

Symposia are scientific discussion platforms in which data gathered within a specific field are presented in an interrelated manner by multiple speakers.

Each presentation is expected to be based on at least one set of empirical research data. In some cases, presentations proposed by authors as oral communications under a shared theme may be grouped by the Congress Organizing Committee and proposed as a symposium (for example, three independent oral presentations on eating disorders may be combined under a single symposium title).

The content of symposia is primarily determined by proposals submitted by participants.

A panel is a scientific session in which experts with recognized knowledge and experience in the field share theoretical perspectives and conceptual insights around a specific theme, typically involving two to three speakers and a session chair.

The content of panels is determined through the selection of proposals submitted by participants and approved by the Congress Organizing Committee.

Skill Development Courses will be held between May 1–3 as 90-minute sessions, conducted in parallel across different conference rooms as part of the scientific program.

These are mini-courses organized by national or international trainers who are either appointed by the Congress Organizing Committee or proposed by participants and subsequently approved by the Committee.

These courses generally focus on a specific technique or intervention area.

Oral presentations will be organized within designated sessions of the congress program between May 1–3, with each presentation allocated approximately 8–15 minutes.

Oral presentations are expected to present original research data. These sessions provide a platform for authors actively working in the field to share their findings with other professionals and researchers.

Oral presentations addressing a common theme may be grouped by the Congress Organizing Committee and proposed as a symposium.

Poster presentations are sessions displayed at designated locations and time slots within the congress program between May 1–3.

Research studies conducted in the field, interesting clinical cases, and topics open to discussion are all acceptable as poster content.
